Enrichment Pilot Project, Duke of Edinburgh Award and Portland Charity (2025) - Documentary
Commissioned by Portland Charity and funded by the Department for Education and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport, the EPP Project aimed to expand extracurricular and enrichment opportunities for young people. In partnership with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and 12 mainstream schools across Nottinghamshire, the initiative helped students access new experiences beyond the classroom. I worked over a six-month period to capture this impact, producing a short documentary that showcases how the funding was used and highlights the benefits of enrichment in young people’s lives.
Next Door Dance (2025) - Documentary and artistic film
This Arts Council-funded project by Next Door Dance brought creative and inclusive dance workshops to individuals who often lack access to such opportunities. Working with a care home, a refugee forum, and a college group, the project focused on movement inspired by joy, happiness, and connection. I documented the project over four months, filming and editing a heartfelt documentary that reflects the participants' experiences and the uplifting power of dance.
Magpies festival (2024) - promotional video
Magpies Festival is a small, female-led music festival set in the North Yorkshire countryside, celebrating indie folk artists from around the world. I was invited to document the vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere through photography and video, ultimately producing a promotional film to support the festival’s future marketing and outreach.
North X north (2024) - documentary
During a one-week creative residency, I collaborated with two professional dancers and a company of emerging performers to document the making of The Drop – a contemporary dance performance. The result was a short documentary capturing the rehearsal process, creative exploration, and final presentation of the work.
On-call family (2024) - documentary
Created as part of a client-led university project, On Call Family is a documentary exploring the lives and dedication of on-call firefighters at Ilkeston Fire Station. Working as part of a small production team, I was involved in every stage of the project over four months—from planning and filming to editing—producing a compelling piece that sheds light on the vital role of community-based emergency services.
the secret to sustainability (2023) - award nominated documentary
This award-nominated documentary tells the story of The Sustainable Kitchen, a small eco-conscious café in Bingham that opened just after the COVID-19 pandemic. The film explores how the café came to life and its mission to promote sustainable, plant-based living. I directed, filmed, and edited the documentary, which highlights the power of local business and environmentally mindful choices.
